Supported Bridge

Find a cozy space on a firm surface. Place a bolster, folded blankets, or a pillow under your pelvis, and rest your head and shoulders on a blanket. Knees stay bent, feet on the floor, with the option to place a blanket over the knees as a gentle weight to hold the legs.

Allow the hips to soften onto the support, with the heart slightly higher than the head. Rest your arms wherever it’s comfortable and notice the breath.

Stay for 1–5 minutes.

To come out, press into your feet, gently lift your hips, and slide the support out to one side. Lower down slowly, hug your knees into your chest, then roll onto one side before gradually coming up to sit.

Pause and notice the effect of the practice.
